A very rare variation on the ‘Bellevue’ height-adjustable floor lamp by Arne Jacobsen for Louis Poulsen. The lamp has a white lacquered metal foot and a brass stem with a goose neck. It has a white lacquered metal shade with perforations.
The model 'AJ7' or ‘Bellevue’ lamp was originally designed circa 1929 and was used by Jacobsen in his early projects, like the Rothenborg house and the Bellevue complex, which gave the lamp its name. This model ‘28701’ lamp, with its perforated shade, was designed circa 1953 for Hotel Codan in Copenhagen.
