A side chair in the Haagse School style with a high backrest, attributed to Dutch designer Frits Spanjaard for L.O.V. Oosterbeek. The chair is made of black lacquered wood with a striped fabric seating.

Frederik Salomon Spanjaard was a Dutch interior architect and furniture designer. He worked at the H. Pander & Zonen furniture company as a draftsman from 1918 to 1919. In 1919 he started working for the L.O.V. furniture company as a designer and artistic leader. He left the company in 1922 to start his own office.

His work was a combination of the styles of the Haagse School, De Stijl and New Objectivity.
