Charlotte Perriand Sandoz stool

Perriand, Charlotte, Stools, France, 1960s

A Charlotte Perriand stool with a round and thick seating with a 32 cm diameter.

This 'Sandoz' type, with its typical feet, was originally designed circa 1955 and was used in Perriand’s own chalet in Méribel. In 1962 she used the model for the Swiss pharmaceutical company Sandoz Laboratories, giving them their name.
This stool was used in an apartment at the Arc 1600 ski resort in Les Arcs (1967-1969), built by a team of architects, including Perriand.
