A set of four very rare Arts & Crafts wall lamps attributed to Eduard Cuypers, circa 1900. The tarnished brass frames house an abundance of button head screws, and the clean brass shades are equipped with fringes with a silk diffuser underneath.
The lamps were designed for and used in the house of Salomon Slijper in Blaricum.
Slijper was an art collector and the most important patron of Piet Mondriaan. After his death, his collection of circa 200 Mondriaan pieces was gifted to the Kunstmuseum Den Haag.
