Erik Gunnar Asplund was a Swedish architect who worked in the Nordic Classicist style in the first part of his career. Around 1930 his work evolved in the direction of Modernism. An interesting project was the Skogskyrkogården (Woodland Cemetery) in Stockholm, he worked on from 1917 until his death. Here one can see his early, Classicist, work as well as the Modernist crematorium (1935-40).
Apart from his architectural projects, he designed lamps and furniture.
