A very rare set of eight lacquered wood chairs by Dutch architect Piet Blom. These chairs were made for the student cafeteria of the University of Twente, Drienerlo, also designed by Blom in 1964. They were made in a limited production of 400 pieces. A great example of Dutch Modernism in the tradition of Gerrit Rietveld.
Labeled by the university and the manufacturer (Huizinga). Available in even pairs.
Piet Blom (1934 - 1999) was a Dutch Structuralist architect, most famous for his cube houses in Rotterdam.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
