A pair of club chairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort, 1950s. The chairs are upholstered in the original cream white Artifort leatherette and green fabric combination. The teenage children of the original owners used the chairs in their 'teen cave'. Rebellion at the time (when squatting was a popular form of housing), made them a symbol of its time now.
This is the early edition of the model 410 for Artifort, with the distinctive cone-shaped oak legs. This first edition was only issued for a short time and the custom markings make them a unique set.
