Carl-Axel Acking was a Swedish architect, furniture designer, writer and teacher. He received his architectural training in Stockholm from 1931 to 1939. During his training he worked for the renowned architect Erik Gunnar Asplund. In 1937 he took part in the World Exposition of Paris and in New York in 1939.
From 1939 to 1955 he had an architectural firm with Sven Hesselgren. From 1955 into the 1980s he had his own firm. His furniture was typically produced by Nordiska Kompaniet. Early in his career he also designed for Knut Lindquist AB and Svenska Möbelfabrikerna, Bodafors.
