Paulin, Pierre

(1927 - 2009)

Pierre Paulin was a French designer and interior architect. He originally trained to be a ceramist in Vallaurius. He studied design at the École Camondo, Paris. In 1954 he started working at the Thonet furniture company. In the late 1950s he began designing for the Dutch furniture company Artifort. During the 1970s and 1980s he focused on interior design projects, for clients like the French presidents Pompidou and Mitterrand.
