A table lamp by Paavo Tynell and Kauklahti Glassworks, Finland. The lamp has a glass body with hand-painted flower decorations.
Kauklahti produced lamps for Paavo Tynell and his Taito company during the 1930s and 1940s. The lamp was made during Wartime, when there was a scarcity of materials like brass, which makes this lamp more sober than the lamps Tynell is best known for.
The measurements stated are of the lamp with the pleated fabric shade. Without the shade, the lamp is 40 cm high with 17 cm diameter. The shade is newly made and other dimensions and colors are available upon request.
