Nieuwelaar, Aldo van den
Table Lamps

A model TC6 table lamp, by Dutch designer Aldo van den Nieuwelaar in 1969. The lamp has a circular tube light coming out of a metal base. It can also be used as a wall lamp.

Dutch designer and architect Aldo van den Nieuwelaar started his own studio in 1969. Stimulated by Benno Premsela and inspired by Gerrit Rietveld, De Stijl and Bauhaus he designed furniture and light sculptures.

This TC6 is a classic and, together with the ‘A’dammers’, slender cabinets with horizontal tambour doors designed for Pastoe in 1973, one of his best known designs.
