Robert Roakes Handcrafted Tripod Studio Stools

A set of three handcrafted wooden stools by Robert Roakes. A characteristic of Roakes' work are the expressive wood connections, as seen in the visible connection of the light wooden feet in the darker seat. With this series, the combination of the shape and the grain makes each stool look like a smiling face. 

Robert Roakes (1931 - 2022) was a craftsman and designer from Oxford, Maine, who has been active for over 60 years.
