A rare lounge chair designed by Herbert Von Thaden for Thaden-Jordan in 1947. The chair is made out of three thin sheets of molded birch veneered plywood, held together with brass parts. The backrest can be adjusted to two different positions. A very sculptural eyecatcher in a wonderful condition. Herbert Von Thaden (1897–1969) was an American pilot, engineer and designer. Together with Donald Lewis Jordan he started the Thaden-Jordan Furniture Corporation.
