Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist was a Swedish architect and furniture designer. Shortly after the War, she worked and studied in England, where she became interested in the classic English upholstered furniture. Back in Sweden, she studied design at the Konstfack in Stockholm from 1948 to 1952.
She worked for Nordiska Kompanie in the years 1952 – 1964, where she designed both furniture and textiles. In the period 1957-57 she designed her ‘Paradiset’ (‘paradise’) line of furniture for the Nordiska ‘Triva’ series.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
The quality of our collection is reflected in the sophistication of craftsmanship and the character of the scars of time. Our restoration workshops are built around the same principal and work to the highest degree of craftsmanship. Bloomberry is housed in a former textile factory located near Maastricht.
