A pair of sculptural wooden bookends by American woodworker David E. Rogers.

The measurements stated are of the larger piece. The smaller, adjustable bookend is 32 cm (12.5 inch) high, 17.5 cm (7 inch) deep and 12 cm (4.7 inch) wide.

Dr. David Elliott Rogers (1926-1994) was, amongst other functions, co-chairman of the National Commission on AIDS. Apart from his medical work, Rogers was an accomplished woodworker and sculptor.
