Mathieu Matégot (1910-2001) was a renowned French-Hungarian designer and artist that worked in many fields, including furniture, fashion and tapestries. He specialized in working with metal. He is best known for his designs with perforated metal, a material he discovered during his war-time captivity in Germany.
