Sandri, Domenico & Tubini, Umberto

Domenico Sandri (1931–1990) and Umberto Tubini (b. 1931) were Italian architects who collaborated closely from the late 1950s onward. Both trained at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV), where they studied and later assisted under figures such as Franco Albini and Carlo Scarpa. Their practice, based in Vicenza, developed a wide body of work across public, private, and restoration projects, including educational buildings, urban parks, and historical sites.

Together, Sandri and Tubini combined architectural research with teaching, pursuing an approach that balanced modernist principles with sensitivity to historical context and landscape. Their designs reflected a commitment to architectural composition, interior space, and the careful integration of new structures within existing urban and natural environments.
