A unique rectangular pine coffee or side table by Dutch architect B.J. Koldeweij (1895 - 1958). The table was designed for and in used in the architect's own house in Voorburg.
Bernardus Joannes Koldeweij was a Dutch architect who had an office in Voorburg from 1926 to 1958. He was educated at the Technische Hogeschool Delft and trained by Traditionalist architect Alexander Kropholler. He mostly worked for Catholic clients and designed a number of churces. His early work was in the so called Delftse School, the Dutch Traditionalist style around architect Marinus Jan Granpré Molière. After the War, he embraced a more Modern style.
