Illum Wikkelsø was a Danish furniture designer. He was trained as a cabinetmaker in 1938 and graduated from the school of Arts and Craft (now, the Danish Design School) in 1941. He worked with Jacob Kjær and the duo Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard, before starting his own studio in 1954.
