Schlegel, Frits

(1896 - 1965)

Frits Schlegel was a Danish functionalist architect and designer. He worked for the architect Edward Thomsen from 1916 until 1934. After this, he opened his own architectural practice in and operated it until his death in 1965. Examples of his architectural work are the Søndermark Crematory in Copenhagen (1927) and the Mariebjerg Cemetery in Gentofte (1936).
