Jean Royère was a French interior architect and designer. He started to work as an apprentice for a cabinetmaker to learn the craft in 1931. His first succes came soon after, in 1934, when he designed the interior of the restaurant of Hotel Carlton on the Champs-Élysées, Paris. This was the start of a long, international career, with clients like King Farouk of Egypt, King Hussein of Jordan, and the Shah of Iran. His designs were often luxurious, elegant and playful.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
The quality of our collection is reflected in the sophistication of craftsmanship and the character of the scars of time. Our restoration workshops are built around the same principal and work to the highest degree of craftsmanship. Bloomberry is housed in a former textile factory located near Maastricht.
