Mario Scheichenbauer, born in 1931, is an Italian designer best known for his iconic "Yeti" rocking chair. Designed in 1968 and produced by Elam in Italy, the chair features a faux-fur-covered anthropomorphic cushion supported by an oak frame. It gained recognition in the design world and was featured on the cover of Domus magazine in November 1971.
