Carl Malmsten was a Swedish furniture designer. His career started when he won a competition in 1916 to design furniture for the Stockholm City Hall. He started the Carl Malmsten furniture company in Stockholm, as well as two design schools: the Carl Malmstensskolan and Capellagården.
