Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior decorator and designer. After finishing an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied architecture in Gothenburg and began his career as an industrial designer at General Motors. After this, he became an assistant to the prominent furniture designers Carl Malmsten and Werner West. In 1951 he founded his own company, Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB, first in Åhus and later in Markaryd. There he not only created lighting designs but also candlesticks, pieces of furniture and other objects.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
The quality of our collection is reflected in the sophistication of craftsmanship and the character of the scars of time. Our restoration workshops are built around the same principal and work to the highest degree of craftsmanship. Bloomberry is housed in a former textile factory located near Maastricht.
