Fridhagen, Bertil

(1905 - 1993)

Bertil August Julius Fridhagen was a Swedish architect and furniture designer. He started out at Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in his hometown of Bodafors, where his father also used to work as a carpenter. After receiving his education at Konstfack in Stockhol, he returned to Bodafors in 1937, where he started to work for Sandsjö Möbelfabrik. In 1939 he became the chief architect at Svenska Möbelfabrikerna. He was important for the success of the company his models accounted for two thirds of its home furniture production.
