Oskar Yngve Ekström was a Swedish furniture designer, wood carver, sculptor and architect. He was the son of a furniture maker and started working at a sawmill at the age of thirteen. In 1945, together with his brother, he founded the furniture company ESE-möbler, later named Swedese Möbler. In the 1960s they also started the Lystella lighting company,
