Josef Ekberg was a Swedish ceramic artist, who worked in the Art Deco style. He started working at the Gustavsberg ceramic factory in 1889, at the age of 12. From 1908 until 1917 he was the company's artistic director and he kept working for Gustavsberg until his death in 1945.
His specialty was the sgraffito decoration, but later in his career he began working with lustre glazes.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
