Luther Conover was a self-taught furniture designer and maker who settled in Sausalito after World War II. He initially used war-surplus materials but soon began sourcing his own wood and iron. This chair is from a line of furniture that was made of easy-to-procure materials and employed simple manufacturing techniques. Durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use, the line appealed to consumers furnishing modern homes on modest budgets.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
The quality of our collection is reflected in the sophistication of craftsmanship and the character of the scars of time. Our restoration workshops are built around the same principal and work to the highest degree of craftsmanship. Bloomberry is housed in a former textile factory located near Maastricht.
