Pair of wooden craft stools from Brazil, 19th century

19th century

A pair of sculptural wooden stools or small tables from Brazil. The stools are ebonized and have a hollowed out cube shape.

By adding a glass plate, they can also be used as a coffee table. The Brazilian designer José Zanine Caldas was inspired by this type for his coffee tables.
