Pair of low 'chauffeuse' (fireside) lounge chairs in oak for Les Arcs

Perriand, Charlotte, Lounge Chairs, France, 1960s

A pair of low, foldable 'chauffeuse' (fireside) lounge chairs in oak. This model was used at the Arc 1600 ski resort in Les Arcs (1967-69), built by a team of architects, including Charlotte Perriand. The chairs are made of solid wood, giving the chairs a sturdy and rustic look, matching the chalet style interior of the building.

They are generally attributed to Charlotte Perriand but not documented as such. They were used at Les Arcs and are at a minimum approved of by Perriand.

When desired, they can be professionally upholstered in our in-house atelier. We have pictures of an earlier set that we did reupholster available on request.
