Charlotte Perriand low stool

Perriand, Charlotte, Stools, France, 1950s

A low ash tripod stool by Charlotte Perriand. The stool has an overall mild aging and some discoloration of the wood at the top.

The first tripod stool of this type by Perriand was designed in 1947 and produced by Georges Blanchon’s Bureau Central de Construction. In 1956 Steph Simon took over production. Perriand used this model in projects like her own apartment in Paris and the Les Arcs ski resorts.
