Schulz, Otto

German-born Otto Schulz (1882-1970) moved to Sweden in 1907, where he pursued a career as an interior architect and designer. After working at the carpentry firm Selander & Söner for three years, he started his own firm, where he worked on ship interiors and other projects. In 1920, Schulz opened his home design store Boet (‘nest’) in Gothenburg, which he operated until 1950. Here he sold his own designs, as well as pieces by other designers. He also published the ‘Boet’ design magazine from 1928 to 1938.
