Mangiarotti, Angelo

Angelo Mangiarotti was one of the most important post-war Italian architects and industrial designers. He studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where he graduated in 1948. From 1953 he worked as a visiting professor for the Illinois Institute of Technology for two years. Here he met architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. After this, he returned to Milan and he started his own architectural firm.
