Gorge, Hugo

(1883 - 1934)

Hugo Gorge (1883 - 1934) was an Austrian architect and designer and an exponent of early Austrian Modernism. He designed a duplex house for the Werkbundsiedlung in Vienna (1932), which also included designs by his contemporaries like Josef Frank, Adolf Loos and Richard Neutra. He was the artistic director at the Kunst und Wohnung, R. Lorenz furniture company in Vienna.
