Pair of Scandinavian pine Gripsholm armchairs

A pair of Swedish armchairs, modeled after the traditional 'Gripsholm' type. The model is named after the Gripsholm castle, where king Gustav III used chairs of this type in the late 18th century. The chairs are made of stained pine and have fabric cushions and arm pads.
