A very rare armchair by Swedish curator, photographer, architect and painter Axel Nilsson (1872 - 1924). It is made of stained pine with charcoal canvas webbing and wool flannel cushion. The chair was professionally reupholstered based on its original condition.
The chair was designed in 1916 for the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, where Nilsson was the first curator. Documentation present.
