A very rare armchair by Swedish curator, photographer, architect and painter Axel Nilsson (1872 - 1924). It is made of sculpted and stained pine with a webbing of anthracite canvas strips, with an anthracite wool flanel cushion. The chair was professionally reupholstered, based on the original condition, in our in-house atelier.
The chair was designed in 1916 for the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, where Nilsson was the first curator.
The collection of Bloomberry has been driven by the cultural reference between architecture, art and design.
The quality of our collection is reflected in the sophistication of craftsmanship and the character of the scars of time. Our restoration workshops are built around the same principal and work to the highest degree of craftsmanship. Bloomberry is housed in a former textile factory located near Maastricht.
