Dagmar Starcke tapestry

A unique tapestry by Danish artist Dagmar Starcke (1899 - 1975). The tapestry from 1931 is titled 'Danmarkskort' ('map of Denmark'), but is unsigned.

It shows a stylized map of Denmark with agricultural activities, fishery and several human figures. The text 'Målt med hjertet er det stort' ('Measured with the heart it is big') is from Christian Richardt's poem about Denmark, called Vort Land - et geografisk Digt (Our Country - A Geographical Poem), 1889.
