A wooden picther with lid and a sturdy handle by French woodworker and sculptor Max Méder. It is made of maple and calamander, making it an interesting composition. Signed by Méder and in a perfect condition with a mild patina.
Méder gained prominence in the French art scene of the 1950s and 1960s with his organically shaped wooden sculptures and tableware, in the vein of Alexandre Noll.
