Sergio Giobbi table lamp

Table Lamps, Italy, 1970s

A very rare and documented ‘Pitagora’ (‘Pythagoras’) table lamp or light object by Sergio Giobbi for Metalmobili. The lamp has a chrome-plated metal base, holding four fuchsia colored plexiglass elements. The light, shining from the base through the plexiglass, gives a wonderful effect.

Sergio Giobbi (1942) is a Florence based Italian architect, designer and artist. He graduated from the Architecture department of the University of Florence, where he started to work in 1970, under architect Leonardo Savioli. Apart from his architectural projects, he has designed a wide range of furniture and lighting.
