A pair of model ‘Lta 2’ or 'Base Ghisa' table lamps, designed circa 1953 by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena. The lamps have a cast iron base supporting a thin brass stem with an adjustable black aluminum shade. In Caccia Dominioni’s hometown of Milan, ’Ghisa’ (‘cast iron’) was a nickname for policemen, after their dark helmets.
