A very rare pendant lamp by Paavo Tynell and Johan Sigfrid Sirén, exclusively commissioned for the parliament building in Helsinki. The lamp features a nickel-plated brass base and stem with an opaline glass shade. We have a second lamp available.
The lamps were used in the Finnish parliament building in Helsinki, which was designed by Sirén (1926-31). Sirén saw the building as a complete work of art and he also was in charge of the furnishing and lighting of the building. For the lighting he collaborated with Tynell and his company Taito.
