Lino Sabattini was an Italian silversmith and designer. In the 1940s he learned the basic skills of metalworking at a brassware shop and after this he received further training by German ceramist Roland Hettner. He opened his own studio in Milan in 1955 and only a year later Gio Ponti organized an exhibition of his works. Sabattini started his own company, Argenteria Sabattini, in 1964. He received a gold medal at the Triennale di Milano exhibition in 1971 and the Compasso d’Oro award in 1979.
