Frankl, Paul

(1886 - 1958)

Paul Theodore Frankl was an Austrian-American Art Deco architect, painter, writer and designer that became famous for his 'skyscraper style' designs in the 1920s. He was born in Vienna, completed his architectural studies at the Berlin Polytechnic and moved to New York in 1914. Later on he moved to Los Angeles.

He designed furniture for, amongst others, Brown Saltman and the Johnson Furniture Company.
