Roger Capron was a French ceramist. He studied Applied Arts in Paris from 1939 to 1943. In 1946 he moved to Vallauris, which had a long tradition of pottery production. He stared the Atelier Callis workshop, with his fellow ceramist Jean Derval and Robert Picault. In 1952 he started his own company, Atelier Capron. His workshop closed in 1982.
Capron won the 1954 Gold Medal at La Triennale di Milano, the 1968 Prix du Ministère des Affaires Culturelles and the 1970 Grand Prix International de la Céramique.
